DC gearmotor powers in on 12V supply

A Midwest Motion Products product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Nov 23, 2007

Compact and lightweight DC gearmotor requires just 7.2A at 12V DC to generate its full load torque of 10Nm.

New from Midwest Motion Products the MMP-TM55-12V GPk52-046 is a robust gearmotor that can be powered from any 12V DC source, including batteries.

The unit measures just 4mm diameter by 183mm long, and has a keyed output shaft of 12mm diameter by 25mm long.

Mounting is easy using four "face mount" M5 threaded holes.

The output of this reversible gearmotor is rated for 5.2Nm continuous torque, at 100rev/min, and 10Nm peak.

Despite its compact size and weight of approximately 1.3kg, it's an efficient design, requiring just 7.2A at 12V DC to generate its full load torque.

That translates into long life battery charge, very quiet operation and low-cost drive electronics.

Motor windings for 24, 36, 48 and 90V are available.

This unit is IP54 for operation in harsh environments, and a complementary variable speed control is also available.

Samples are available from stock.
