Midwest rolls out new gear motor

Midwest Motion Products has announced the release of a new DC gear motor.

Accepting any 12V DC source, including battery power, this gear motor measures 2.8in in diameter, with a 3.15in square gearbox and has a keyed output shaft of 10mm diameter by 27mm long.

Mounting is accomplished with four M5 threaded screws, equally spaced 66.5mm apart.

The output of this reversible gear motor is rated for 70in/lbs continuous torque, at 7.2rpm and 100in/lbs peak.

It weighs around 4.6lbs and requires 3.9A at 12V DC to generate its full load torque.

Motor windings for 12, 36, 48 and 90V are available.

The design is rated at an IP 52 protection level for operation in harsh environments.

Variable speed can be accomplished with fully compatible speed controls.
