Gearmotor accepts any 36VDC power source

A Midwest Motion Products product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Apr 2, 2009

Midwest Motion Products has announced the release of the MMP-TM55-36VGP52-308 DC gearmotor.

The gearmotor accepts any 36VDC power source, including battery power, and measures 2.14in in diameter, by 7.75in long.

It also has a keyed output shaft of 12mm diameter by 25mm long.

Mounting is accomplished with four 'face mount' M5 threaded holes, equally spaced on a 40mm-diameter BC.

The output of the reversible gearmotor is rated for 308in/lbs continuous torque, at 13rpm, and 443in/lb peak.

The motor has a compact size and a weight of approximately 4lbs.

It requires 2.1A at 36VDC to generate its full load torque.

Midwest said this translates into long-life battery charge, low-noise operation, and lower costs for related drive electronics.

Motor windings for 12, 24, 48, 60 and 90V are available.

The design is rated at IP54 for operation in harsh environments.

IP65 protection is also available.

Variable speed is accomplished with Midwest's fully compatible speed controls, models MMP 25A-48V or MMP 20A-48V-RSP.
