DC gearmotor accepts any 24VDC source

A Midwest Motion Products product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Apr 21, 2009

Midwest Motion Products has announced the launch of the model MMP-TM55-24VGP52-236 DC gearmotor.

The gearmotor accepts any 24VDC source, including battery power.

It measures 2.14in in diameter, by 7.7in long, and has a keyed output shaft of 12mm diameter by 25mm long.

The gearmotor has four face-mount M5 threaded holes, equally spaced on a 40mm diameter BC.

The output of the reversible gearmotor is rated for 238in/lb continuous torque, at 20rpm, and 443in/lb peak.

It has a compact size and weighs approximately 3.5lbs.

The company said it is an efficient design, requiring 3.6A at 24VDC to generate its full-load torque.

That translates into long life battery charge, low-noise operation, and lower costs for related drive electronics.

Motor windings for 12, 36, 48, 60 and 90V are available.

This design is rated IP54 for operation in harsh environments.

Variable speed can be accomplished with the company's fully compatible speed controls, model MMP 25A-24V, or MMP 20A-24V-RSP.
