Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 2, 2009

Midwest Motion Products has announced the release of its DC Gear Motor, MMP-TM55-24V GP57-007.

Accepting any 24V DC source, including battery power, the Gear Motor measures 2.24 (d) x 6.7in (l), and has a keyed output shaft of 12 (d) x 25mm (l).

Mounting is accomplished with four face-mount M5 threaded holes, equally spaced on a 40mm diameter.

The output of the reversible gearmotor is rated for 9.5 IN LBS continuous torque, at 675rpm, and 50 IN LBS Peak.

With a compact size and weight (3lb), the motor requires 3.6A at 24V DC to generate its Full Load Torque.

Motor windings for 12, 36, 48, 60 and 90V are available.

This design is rated at an IP 54 protection level for operation in harsh environments.

Variable Speed can be accomplished with Midwest's fully compatible Speed Controls, Model MMP 25A-24V, or MMP 20A-24V-RSP.
