The company wanted to weigh its ingredients within two stainless steel laminar airflow booths but was facing problems monitoring stock and ingredient levels.
Accurate scales were required that offered the facility to upload data to the company's own formulation system as well as being accurate to 1g and 0.1g for all formulations.
In addition the company also decided on Mettler Toledo's K line scale range combined with MT Connection software.
These scales weigh the ingredients required for specific formulations then the software uploads the data to Surepharm's own MRP system which is linked to the ID7 terminal as part of the new dispensing booth and enables stock to be monitored in real time.
The K line offers a weighing range from 15-6000kg and a wide variety of platform sizes and construction types which can be tailored to meet individual application needs.
The high performance digital measuring cell and monobloc technology offers high resolution and sets new standards for linearity and readability.
The range is also approved for use in hazardous areas and complies with GMP requirements.
MT Connections provides the complete solution from weighing equipment to a PC.
This versatile software can be used for both simple and complex applications from gathering net weight data to aiding process control.
It collects weight data for SQC, records transactions, monitors the scale and much more.
The installation has provided Surepharm with the accuracy required as well as the ability to easily upload data via MT Connections software.
