Meiden inverters used at Fluorospar plant
By employing the latest drive technology at its Ellesmere Port 'Fluorospar' drying plant, Colin Stewart Minchem has enhanced operating efficiency and reduced initial capital investment.
Meiden say they are breaking ranks with the rest of the drives industry to offer European pricing in the UK.
The decision for making the price cuts results from the determination to be fairer to the UK customer and buck the trend for everything costing more in this country.
"The price reductions are not limited-time price cuts", says Andy Gardner, European Business Manager.
"They are our contribution in the effort to bring UK prices into line with those in Europe and help end to the 'rip-off' Britain syndrome." These savings have been made possible by careful scrutiny of all costs; everything from product development right through to final delivery to the customer.
Examples of the price cuts include the new VT230S drive at 1.5kW constant torque rating and 2.2kW variable torque, previously listed at £760 now it is £540, a saving of 29% or £220 off.
The same drive at 18.5/22kW was previously £3080, now it is £1950 - a saving of 37% or £1130 off Meiden says these price cuts will not impact upon its delivery and service.
On the contrary, the company is gearing up by making new appointments to enhance them and respond to the expected increase in demand.
The company proved this low pricing policy works following its success last year with its VT110 drive.
In addition to getting the company more business in the UK, it also generated a lot of interest from mainland Europe.
From now onwards, when a customer orders a Meiden product he knows that the price he is offered is in line with the prices offered to his opposite number in Europe - and it is a very competitive Meiden, miserly price.
