Memsic was awarded Best of Sensors Expo last month at Sensors Expo Spring in San Jose, California.

Selected by the Editors of Sensors magazine as one of three gold winners in the sensors category, the Memsic Ultra Low Noise sensor combines the sensor and associated electronics onto a single chip that is manufactured on a standard, submicron CMOS process, providing the highest long-term reliability and performance available today at an unprecedented low cost.

Twelve winners were selected by the editors from 38 finalists in two categories - sensors and sensor components - recognising new products that they predict will significantly impact the use of sensing in designs and applications.

Memsic was one of only four companies selected as a gold winner.

Other winners were awarded silver and bronze status.

"We are very pleased with this recognition because it comes from industry professionals who understand the significance of our technology", said Yang Zhao, CEO of Memsic.

"The Ultra Low Noise sensor, like our other products, is based on heat convection and requires no proof mass but, due to a change in gas, offers unparalleled low noise resolution and the highest degree of accuracy in the marketplace".
