ASEAN distribution contract for accelerometers

MEMSIC, has signed a distribution agreement that makes its products available to all the ASEAN countries.
Memsic, a provider of CMOS-based MEMS accelerometers/sensors, has signed a distribution agreement with Taiwan-based World Peace Group (WPG), the largest distributor in Asia.
The agreement grants distribution rights for all of Memsic's accelerometer products to World Peace Group and its affiliates and will cover mainland China, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, India and all other Asean countries.
"Demand for Memsic's low-cost highly reliable accelerometers increased dramatically in 2004 with the addition of many new customers from China, Taiwan and other Asian countries", said Memsic President and CEO, Dr Yang Zhao.
"WPG and Memsic have joined forces in this fast-growing region to continue to address increasing demand and a wide variety of applications for Memsic's products".
"Our consumer customer base is expanding rapidly and demands a high level of service and technical support", explained Vice President Worldwide Sales, Evan Sanders.
"The combined presence of the WPG sales team and Memsic's Field Application Engineering group (also located in Wuxi, China) creates a powerful technical sales force that will continue to drive growth and increased acceptance of Memsic's products".
