Load cells enable 3D force measurement

A Michigan Scientific Corp product story

The TR3D-D-100K is the latest addition to the TR3D family of three-directional load cells from Michigan Scientific Corp.

The TR3D-D-100K is the latest addition to the TR3D family of three-directional load cells from Michigan Scientific Corp that now load capacities from 250 to 100,000lb in three orthogonal directions.

From engine mounts to earthmoving equipment, these rugged and compact load cells offer a superior solution over one-directional load cells.

Easily adapted to most mounting situations, they allow three-directional force measurement in confined spaces and harsh conditions.

In addition to forces, applied moments can be calculated when TR3D three-directional load cells are arrayed together, providing loading information about six degrees of freedom.

High-grade aluminium or stainless steel materials, in addition to weatherproof sealing, combine to provide excellent resistance to corrosion and other environmental conditions.

Temperature compensation of each transducer ensures stable output throughout a wide temperature range.
