First Moldflow international user group conference

Moldflow Corporation has announced its first ever international user group conference, planned for September 17 through 19, 2001 at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Boston, MA USA

Moldflow Corporation has announced its first ever international user group conference.

The event, planned for September 17 through 19, 2001 at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Boston, MA USA, will feature keynote speakers, user application presentations, special interest discussion groups, and a variety of in-depth presentations on Moldflow products given by Moldflow's technical staff from around the world.

Keynote speakers represent two of the world's major universities involved in the research and development of the technology Moldflow uses today and will use in the future.

Dr Robert Malloy, professor of Plastics Engineering at the University of Massachusetts will present "The Plastic Product Development Process - Past, Present, and Future." Dr Michael Darlington, reader of Polymer Physics and Engineering at the School of Industrial and Manufacturing Science, Cranfield University, will present "Short Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastics Extending the Application Range." At the 2001 event, attendees learn about new technologies and how they might work within specific processes as well as gain the technical knowledge to help understand all stages of the design-through-manufacture process.

Finally, the first one hundred registered attendees will receive a free training session on Synergy, Moldflow and C-MOLD's next generation advanced analysis product.

Paper presenters represent prestigious organizations from around the world including Rhodia Engineering Plastics (France), Corning Precision Lens (USA), Du Pont de Nemours (Switzerland), Symbol Technologies (USA), Nokia (Finland), TECOS Slovenian Tool and Die (Slovenia), Life Fitness (USA), Samsung Electro-Mechanical Co (Korea), NPL - National Measurements and Standards Laboratory (UK), Spal, Srl (Italy), Borealis OPP (Brazil) and LGIS (Korea).

In addition, special interest group roundtable discussions will address Moldflow Plastics Advisers, Moldflow Plastics Xpert, Moldflow Plastics Insight, C-MOLD 2000, data translation, and materials.
