For the first time, the global Moldflow community is bringing its annual conference to a European venue.

The third International Moldflow User Group Conference (iMUG) will take place in Frankfurt from 17th to 19th May 2004, with an array of opportunities for participants, who may include non-users of Moldflow.

Discounts are available for users of Moldflow products.

To make the conference sessions accessible to the greatest number of participants, presentations in the main conference room will be translated into German, French, Italian and English languages.

Invited speakers include Michele Laus, of the Universita degli Studi del Piemonte Orientale, Italy who will speak on polymer-based nanocomposites; and Charles L Tucker III from the University of Illinois will speak on "Improved fibre orientation predictions for injection moulded composites".

A joint presentation from Han EH Meijer and Gerrit WM Peters from Eindhoven University of Technology will cover modelling and validation of viscoelastic-stress-induced crystallisation.

Technical presentations from Moldflow technical experts include "Material data quality and validation", by Russell Speight, Director of Material Technology based in Melbourne, Australia; "The Moldflow application programming interface", by New York-based Nanda Santhanam, Manager, Software Engineering; and "Prediction of core deflection in injection moulding" by Franco Costa, Manager of CAE Development, also based in the Australian office.

In addition, there will special interest group discussions - "conference-in-a-conference" events - on 3D analysis, warpage analysis and modelling techniques.

Free brochures detailing the conference programme, hotel accommodation, social events and a booking form are available on request.
