Hella KGaA Hueck and Co has selected Moldflow Plastics Insight (MPI) as its global company standard for the analysis and optimisation of injection moulded plastic parts.
Hella KGaA Hueck and Co has selected Moldflow Plastics Insight (MPI) as its global company standard for the analysis and optimisation of injection moulded plastic parts.
Implementation of MPI, used for in-depth plastics filling, cooling and warpage analysis will begin in the Lippstadt and Paderborn development centres.
Hella also chose MPI/Fusion, which uses Moldflow's patented Dual Domain technology for analysing 3D solid CAD models directly, and MPI/3D for performing true 3D analyses.
Hella is one of Germany's largest Tier 1 automotive suppliers.
"We are pleased that Hella has chosen to standardise on Moldflow Plastics Insight for their injection moulding operations", explained Andreas Schmedding, Moldflow's Design Analysis Solutions Regional Director for Central Europe.
"Shorter development times and product life cycles, a wider variety of analysis models and increased investment risk require the consistent use of plastics CAE simulation solutions".
