3D Systems plans to host an inaugural Users' World Conference at its new campus in Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA, from September 24-27, 2007.

3D Systems plans to host an inaugural Users' World Conference at its new campus in Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA, from September 24-27, 2007.

The company intends to extend an invitation to all of its global customers as well as to complementary solution providers, industry experts and academics to attend and participate in a one-of-a-kind comprehensive technology and applications exchange and training event.

Working in partnership with an independent advisory board of respected industry members and solution partners, the company plans to deliver a transforming experience that will feature the latest technology and applications, hands-on and comprehensive training, lectures and presentations by industry experts on emerging trends in rapid prototyping, rapid manufacturing and 3D printing, and the opportunity to meet and interact with the entire 3D Systems team.

The company hopes this annual event will give attendees valuable knowledge about new rapid manufacturing techniques and the latest investment and micro-casting successes as well as teach them how to become service-savvy and self-sufficient and how to improve productivity, uptime and capacity utilisation on current and new platforms.

Attendees will have a variety of opportunities to network, renew and strengthen partnerships and improve communication with others in the 3D printing, prototyping and manufacturing industry.

The conference will be held at 3D Systems' new global headquarters campus that includes its research and development facility, Rapid Manufacturing Center and the 3D Systems University facility, all located in Waterford Business Park in Rock Hill, South Carolina, just 25 miles south of Charlotte, North Carolina.

To help ensure success, diversity of topics and an independent customer voice in shaping this exciting event, 3D Systems has reached out to its users and formed an advisory board.

This board of industry experts and 3D Systems' team members is shaping the world conference content, recruiting trainers and recommending speakers and discussion panels.

Members are: Rob Connelly of FineLine Prototyping, David Flynn of Express Pattern, Dr Volker Griessbach of VGK, David Leigh of Harvest Technologies, Dr Dennis Merrell of York Technical College, Scott Turner of Scicon Technologies, Pat Warner of the Renault F1 Team, Igata-san of INCS and several 3D Systems' teammates".

There will be no registration or conference fees for approved attendees at the 3D Systems Users' World Conference.

3D Systems will also provide food and beverages and in-town transportation.
