Viper Systems provide fast, clean materials changeover as well as remote operation and monitoring.

1zu1 Prototypen has purchased both a Viper SLA System and the first Viper Pro SLA system to offer stereolithography services in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland.

Viper Systems offer the type of speed, accuracy, surface finish and maximum part-size that is ordinarily associated with CNC machining.

These systems provide fast, clean materials changeover as well as remote operation and monitoring.

Parts created by the systems have excellent details and definition.

1zu1 Prototypen has 30 vacuum casters that require perfect, high-precision models to be manufactured quickly.

"By purchasing the best technology and, in particular, by combining both Viper Systems, we can offer an optimal service in regard to quality and flexibility", said Hannes Hammerle, Chief Financial Officer of 1zu1.

"We will be the first company in the German-speaking region to offer services on a Viper Pro".

"Our goal is to have all the Rapid Prototyping technologies available in-house", added Wolfgang Humml, 1zu1 Prototypen's Chief Executive Officer.

"SLA services are in great demand, particularly for casting processes such as vacuum casting with silicone moulds".

"Thanks to its high-resolution mode and 0.05mm layers, the Viper SLA is particularly suited to processing small to medium-sized, high-precision models".

"If required, the Viper Pro manufacturing system can also produce larger, high-quality models in the least possible time".

Abe Reichental, 3D Systems' President and Chief Executive Officer said "The demand for manufacturing solutions that can be used to produce larger parts more quickly, more accurately and with a better surface finish is on the rise".

"By expanding its service range to include the specialised stereolithography services offered by our new generation of fast, large systems that produce high-resolution models with a perfect surface finish, 1zu1 Prototypen has taken a further step towards securing a leading position in Central Europe".
