3D Systems' materials website makes it easier to take advantage of additive manufacturing technology.

3D Systems has released a material evaluation website equipped with an online pricing capability that may be used to order noncommercial stereolithography (SLA) and Selective laser sintering (SLS) parts, enabling more designers and engineers to experience the benefits of additive manufacturing technology.

Partnering with a strong network of preferred part service providers (PSPs), 3D Systems is using its website to offer a custom part building marketplace for rapid prototyping and direct manufacturing applications.

Customers in every major industry use 3D Systems' solutions to reduce design iteration, production and tooling costs as well as turn their ideas into a prototype and production parts in days instead of weeks.

The new website provides designers and engineers instant access to evaluate 3D Systems' materials and the ability to order parts built from new noncommercial Accura and DuraForm Materials.

Ordered parts are manufactured on the company's Pro Systems (the Viper Pro SLA and Sinterstation Pro SLS), located in the rapid manufacturing centre at 3D Systems' global headquarters.

The website also connects customers to 3D Systems' network of authorised PSPs for commercially available Accura and DuraForm Materials.
