When used with Merlin Gerin Pragma K enclosures, the new PK range of plugs and sockets form a distribution system that can combine protection using MCBs and distribution in the form of socket outlets

Merlin Gerin has launched a range of low voltage industrial plugs and sockets that are quick to install, rugged and offer excellent durability.

When used with Merlin Gerin Pragma K enclosures, the new Merlin Gerin PK range of plugs and sockets form a complete distribution system that can combine protection using MCBs and distribution in the form of socket outlets.

With good resistance to humidity, dust, grease, fats, oils and chemicals, the range is suitable for many applications, from fast food outlets to construction sites and caravan parks.

Pragma K enclosures have cut-outs to match the plugs and sockets, removing the need to cut holes in the enclosure casing and saving valuable installation time.

Enclosures can be butted up to each other, eliminating the need to run exterior wiring between them, saving space and giving a neater, quicker installation.

Enclosures are also available to accommodate additional equipment including circuit breakers and control devices such as timers and relays.

All fixing screws for loose plugs are supplied semi-loosened for quick removal, further reducing installation time.

All the plugs and sockets have nickel-plated contacts to counter oxidation that could cause potentially hazardous overheating.

All exterior screws are of stainless steel, eliminating the possibility of rusting that can make rewiring or servicing of outdoor plugs and sockets impossible.

The range also exceeds current standards for resistance to fire with all loose plugs and sockets rated to 850C.

The Merlin Gerin PK range includes wander plugs and sockets, wall mounted plugs and sockets, panel mounted straight sockets, and panel or wall mounted sockets with interlock switches.

With operating voltages from 100V to 415 V, they have a rated current up to 125A and protection classes of IP 44 and IP 67.

PK Isoblock enclosures include a compartment for mounting modular safety and control devices, such as timers and contactors.

Watertight versions of PK Isoblock are also available.
