Safety switch has electronic codes
The Mechan SSS is a noncontact safety switch that is operated by an electronically coded actuator.
Preventing safety switches from being easily overridden is an important part of achieving compliance in machine guarding By using electronic coding, the Mechan SSS is a noncontact safety switch that is operated by an electronically coded actuator

Not all noncontact safety switches are magnetic
Reliability and safety are the two key factors in choosing the right noncontact safety switch.
The SSS has indication at the guard, and is available with either two safety or one safety and one auxiliary contact arrangements, capable of switching up to 2A at 230V AC.
This switching capability means the SSS can work with most safety relays and removes the need for buying a switch specific safety control module.
The SSS safety switch uses the same tried and tested electronic safety switching available in the Mechan F-Series safety systems without the need for a specific control unit.
The switch and actuator are fully encapsulated providing a robust switch that is tolerant to wet and/or dusty conditions and will not be affected by high-pressure hose washdown procedures.
The 10mm switching distance is tolerant to misalignment and provides long-term reliability and consistent switching.
The SSS is an ideal replacement for standard magnetic or mechanical safety switches giving increased levels of security and the long-term reliability expected from Mechan electronic safety systems.
