Manufacturers who are frustrated by frequent stoppages due to damaged safety switches could find a reliable solution in the form of the new stainless-steel MS-6 from Mechan Controls.

Designed for use in the harshest of industrial environments, Mechan's new Magnasafe MS-6 is a robust and damage resistant machine-guard safety interlock system.

A noncontact safety switch with a 10mm switching distance, it is easy to install, tolerant to misalignment and features a tough, slimline, stainless-steel housing with an IP67 rating.

Capable of surviving most conditions, the MS6 is designed primarily for the food processing, dairy and pharmaceutical industries.

It is suitable for use in wash-down applications and on machine guards in environments where endurance is the key to cost effectiveness.

"With the requirement for ever greater efficiency in modern factories, having a machine stopped for a simple broken switch can be as costly and just as frustrating as any other breakdown", said Mechan Controls Sales Director, Peter Knowles.
