New wrenches virtually eliminate overtightening

MHH Engineering have added two new Torque Wrenches to their Torqueleader "Breaking Torque Handle" Range.

The new TBN 65 and TBN 135 models are designed for use with either spanner fittings or a ratchet head and have maximum torque capacities of 65 Nm and 135 Nm respectively.

When the tool is used, it will apply torque to the fastener until the preset torque value is reached.

At that point the wrench 'breaks' at an angle of 20 degrees, virtually eliminating the likelihood of over-tightening.

Coupled with a 'Positive Adjustment Lock' to ensure that the torque setting is locked in place and tamper-proof, the TBN 65 and TBN 135 guarantees the correct tightening of the fastener.

A unique operating mechanism forms the heart of the new tools and has enabled endurance testing of over 100,000 operations without loss of performance.

These new tools complement the existing Torqueleader Breaking Torque Handles, covering an overall torque range of 0.2 - 135 N.m over five models.

All models can be supplied fitted with a 'Switch' or 'AM' transmitter to signal when the torque has been applied, making the wrench an integral part of any production line.
