Attachment aids digital torque analysis

A MHH Engineering product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Apr 15, 2002

MHH Engineering has introduced an electronic torque closure meter attachment to fit to the ETCA electronic torque calibration analyser.

The application of torque to bottle caps is an increasingly important part of the packaging industry.

If the cap is too loose, the contents may leak or deteriorate.

If the cap is too tight it will be difficult to remove and may damage the container.

Consumers demand that the product is correctly sealed and easy to open.

To complement the existing Torqueleader analogue torque closure meter, MHH Engineering has introduced an electronic torque closure meter attachment to fit to the ETCA electronic torque calibration analyser.

This unit combines the versatile clamping system of the TCM (for holding the container) with the digital readout, 1% accuracy and RS232 download ability of the ETCA.

The ETCM attachment is suitable for checking torque values up to a recommended maximum of 15Nm, the actual range is dependent on the transducer chosen.
