Users of Maple-NAG Connector can combine the modelling, exploration and application development abilities of Maple, Maplesoft's flagship product, with the power and breadth of NAG numeric routines.

Maplesoft, a provider of high-performance software tools for engineering, science and mathematics, has released Maple-NAG Connector, in partnership with Numerical Algorithms Group (NAG).

The NAGC Library is the largest and most comprehensive collection of mathematical and statistical algorithms for C and C++ programmers available today.

With the Maple-NAG Connector, users can combine the modelling, exploration and application development abilities of Maple, Maplesoft's flagship product, with the power and breadth of NAG numeric routines.

As a front end to the NAG C Library, Maple and this toolbox together provide an integrated environment to make code development easier.

It eliminates compile times and provides simplified calling sequences and searchable documentation.

The Connector also enables the use of NAG routines in seamless combination with Maple's mathematical analysis and visualisation tools.

"This unique partnership combining the mathematical and software strengths of NAG and Maplesoft will give users significantly more freedom and control", said Dr Rob Meyer, Chief Executive Officer, NAG.

"It is a strong embodiment of the synergy between numeric and symbolic algorithms".

"Maplesoft's partnership with NAG will be a competitive advantage for users as it gives them the power to create faster, more reliable models and applications in shorter time", said Jim Cooper, President, Maplesoft.

Key features of the Maple-NAG Connector include easy access to the powerful NAG C Library numeric routines from inside the Maple environment and use of NAG routines anywhere Maple commands are used.

Fast prototyping and modelling environment provide quick results, simplified calling sequences makes coding easier; and NAG C Library documentation is integrated into the searchable, indexed, Maple Help System, and includes hundreds of examples coded in Maple.

The Maple-NAG Connector will be very valuable for those in application development, mathematical modelling, finance, life sciences, statistical analysis and environmental sciences.
