Mahr Federal has introduced a new concept in air gauging - portability The new Micro-Dimensionair portable air gauge incorporates a Micro-Maxum digital indicator and an interchangeable handle to provide accurate, convenient readouts at the measurement site

The digital dial on the Micro-Dimensionair rotates through 270 degrees for easy viewing, and the IP54 rated gauge provides exceptional accuracy and repeatability.

Air gauging has increased in popularity in recent years as part tolerances have become tighter.

It is fast and accurate, readily used in production environments, and the gauges even help clean parts by blowing dirt away.

The fixed resolution and balanced air system on the new portable Micro-Dimensionair provides stable, reliable results, and single mastering allows fast setup.

The interchangeable handle on the new Mahr Federal Micro-Dimensionair can be configured as a pistol grip or normal end mount for easy application of the plug to the part.

For large, heavy plugs, the handle can also be mounted between the tooling and the display to provide a well-balanced, ergonomic measuring system.

The gauge can also be bench-mounted or even mounted directly on the machine tool for added convenience.

The Micro-Dimensionair also incorporates all the benefits of the Micro-Maxum digital indicator, including inch/metric measurement in digital or analogue display, bi- and unilateral tolerances with presets, multiple data output formats, auto-zeroing, and normal/reverse settings for ID/OD.

The Micro-Maxum uses an absolute transducer which eliminates errors, and once calibrated, a 3V lithium battery retains settings.
