Digital callipers get the measure of
dirty tasks
A new line of digital callipers and micrometers that assure precise and reliable measurements under difficult conditions.
Increasingly, manual measuring instruments need to be protected from dirt, temperature variations, and water spray during everyday use To meet these needs, Mahr Federal has introduced a new line of digital callipers and micrometers that assure precise and reliable measurements under difficult conditions

Gauges check surface finishes in difficult spots
Mahr Federal has a new family of surface finish gauging fixtures specifically designed to measure difficult and often inaccessible automotive component surfaces right on the shop floor.
Portable air gauge incorporates digital indicator
Mahr Federal has introduced a new concept in air gauging - portability.
The line includes three new MarCal EW Series digital callipers and the Mahr 40 EW and 16 EW digital micrometers.
The water resistant MarCal EW Series digital callipers are designed for use in extreme production environments in accordance with the IP67 standard.
Built for durability, the line features specially resistant materials in the casing and keyboard, and a fluid protection system to safeguard sensitive electronic components.
The MarCal EW Series provides measurement capabilities over the entire working range with high precision and linearity ensured.
Models are available in ranges from 150, 200 and 300mm.
All models are available with or without a thumbwheel, an accessory that helps maintain constant gauging force.
Also, users can select from two different depth rod designs.
A round rod style facilitates measurement of depths with limited access, while a flat rod style provides added stability for longer measurements.
All callipers feature dirt wipers integrated into the slide, lapped guide ways, and hardened stainless steel slide, beam, and inside/outside measuring blades.
Integral 3V batteries provide active use up to three years.
A unique reference lock function in the MarCal EW Series ensures reliable zero setting and prevents errors during operation.
This function prevents users from mistakenly zeroing the device, an operational problem common to many other callipers.
A variation of the calliper design is the MarCal 30 EW digital depth gauge with all the features found in the calliper line.
Similarly, models are available in ranges from 150, 200 and 300mm.
Rounding out the line of water resistant hand tools are the 16 EW and 40 EW digital micrometers.
Rated IP65 for dust and water resistance, these shop-hardened hand tools feature satin chromed steel frames with heat insulated holders, lapped carbide tipped anvils, hardened throughout spindles, rapid drives, and integrated ratchets for repeatable measuring force.
The 16 EW is available with a measuring range of 0-25mm and has design characteristics similar to the 16 EW calliper line.
