competence

Mitsubishi Electric has created a new certification scheme aimed at raising standards in the automation industry.

Mitsubishi Electric has created a new certification scheme aimed at raising standards in the automation industry The Melsmart Certified Engineer Programme, which is the first of its kind in the UK, is designed to help engineers stand out from the crowd

This will be achieved by gaining certification in a wide range of automation products, providing engineers with a 'stamp of excellence' in Mitsubishi products.

To obtain certification candidates must satisfy both theoretical and practical test elements in a range of products.

On reaching set benchmarks, the Certified Engineer status is then awarded based on three levels of achievement.

This endorsement and recognition of skills in categories such as PLCs, drives, HMIs, robots, modems, IEC61131-3 and networking etc.

will enhance both the engineers' and their companies' reputations within the marketplace.

Chris Evans, Manager of Mitsubishi's Customer Technology Centre (CTC) who will administer the scheme, stated: "Apart from giving engineers tangible recognition of their skills, end users can be confident that the award of Mitsubishi Certified Engineer has real meaning and sets a benchmark for automation systems".

For engineers and their associated company gaining certification, there will be a number of additional benefits such as personalised ID cards, discounted training, technical seminars and advance product information. Request a free brochure from Mitsubishi Electric Automation Systems ...
