Mitsubishi has extended its mid-range 400V servo offering with two new models - rated at 3.5 and 5kW - from the well-received Melservo-J2-Super series.

These new general purpose servo drives are packed with features that make setup very user-friendly, including real-time auto tuning (RTAT) and full compatibility with the servo configuration software that incorporates advanced functions such as a machine analyser.

The drives include, as standard, a machine resonance suppression filter and adaptive vibration suppression control for smooth operation.

The Meservo-J2-Super has a dynamic brake built in and regenerative braking is available as an option.

The drive has three modes of operation - position control, speed control or torque control - to take in a wide range of applications and is compliant with relevant EN and UL/cUL regulations in terms of the units standard specification.

The HC-SFS compatible motors, 3524 (3.5kW, 16.7Nm) and 5024 (5kW, 23.9Nm) incorporate 131,072 pulse per revolution absolute encoders as standard.

These high-precision motors have a standard operating speed in the region of 2000rev/min.
