Servo range extends power and
intelligence

Mitsubishi Electric has extended its Super Servo amplifiers and motors range with the addition of new units up to 22kW.

Mitsubishi Electric has extended its Super Servo amplifiers and motors range with the addition of new units up to 22kW The MR-J2 Super series starts at 50W and is available in 200 and 400V versions

MR-J2 Super is based on Mitsubishi's highly successful MR-J2 servo series, which has been upgraded following careful interpretation of all the information learned from user feedback.

The Super series comes in three distinct versions to maximise application potential.

The Super MR-J2S-A series has analogue and digital inputs and is excellent for all single axis applications from positioning over speed to torque control.

The MR-J2S-B series with built in SSCnet network is perfect for precise multiple axis synchronisation solutions, and the MR-J2S-CL series is a totally programmable amplifier that gives an inexpensive complete positioning solution for modest power systems.

One of the Super series' key features is real-time adaptive auto-tuning, which continuously monitors the control parameters and adjusts them automatically to match current conditions.

This auto-tuning function delivers genuine automatic continuous adjustment with optimum performance for a wide range of applications, including suspended loads and high friction applications.

A major part of the enlarged Super series is a new range of 400V motors, all of which have a 131,072bit resolution absolute encoder fitted as standard to ensure precise control.

Having an integral encoder simplifies system synchronisation and removes the need to keep rehoming axes prior to start up.

Each Super series motor is fitted with an IC chip identifying its performance characteristics so that when connected to a servo amplifier automatic tuning can occur immediately to give true plug and play connectivity. Request a free brochure from Mitsubishi Electric Automation Systems ...
