The ER series of rodless linear actuators introduced by Micromech achieves accurate step and repeat positioning for small to medium sized components.

The simple and compact ER Series of rodless linear actuators introduced by Micromech achieve accurate step and repeat positioning for small to medium sized components that are being processed on other equipment such as ultra-sonic welders, automatic vision inspection systems, pad transfer printers, light assembly presses, etc.

Two versions are available: - For rapid part transfer the actuator is belt driven achieving speeds up to 5 metres per second with an accuracy of 100 microns, whilst for higher precision moves the ballscrew driven module will operate up to 2 metres per second with an improved accuracy of 20 microns.

The load-bearing carriage runs on roller bearings for all belt-drive modules and standard ballscrew units, but for higher load requirements the ballscrew units are supplied with an optional square-rail carriage system.

The ER actuator range offers stroke lengths up to 2800mm and a choice of two profile sizes: 32mm and 50mm.

The units can be servo or stepper motor driven and supplied as just components or a complete package ready to use as a position control kit including home datum and end of travel limits.
