Stepper Systems just can't get any simpler now, according to Micromech.

The motion and control specialists have introduced socket to stepping with only three components.

No need for DC supply or EMC filter: 240Volts AC is connected directly to the Stepper Drive Base via a plug-in connector.

The Stepper Motor cable is connected in the same manner thus reducing assembly costs and making maintenance easy.

The new DIN-rail mounting direct-off-line system can accept a wide-ranging input voltage from 94 to 264V AC.

A low-cost Alpha-Numeric operator panel is used to enter data and run the system once programmed (Using Free-Issue Easi-Tools software), and User I/O is available for interlocks and peripheral devices.The L50I drive can deliver up to 5 Amps per phase at 4000 Mini-Steps per revolution.The system can also be commanded directly from a PC via the RS232/485 comms interface which is especially useful when commisioning.
