On January 1st 2002 the Euro currency will be available throughout the Eurozone and Micromech is pleased to announce it is ready to accept all forms of payment whether by notes, cheques or account transfers.

Micromech has been gearing up for the introduction for sometime and already has a number of customers buying in Euro's.

Peter Searle Finance Director said 'This is intended to be a service to our customers and will be particularly useful where goods are of Euroland origin and therefore will enable us to eliminate exchange variations.

We can then secure long term pricing and stability, which should improve our competitiveness as we gradually remove exchange costs'.

He added 'As a company we are forward thinking and can see the commercial benefits of full membership of the Eurozone.

As to when this will happen is in the hands of politicians and not business men'.
