Compact compound tables keep motors inside
A new line of space-saver compound tables from Micromech consist of two linear guides from the Isel LF5 series that are accurately connected by two ground steel plates.
A new line of space-saver compound tables from Micromech consist of two linear guides from the Isel LF5 series that are accurately connected by two ground steel plates.
The motors are neatly sandwiched inside the table keeping the overall length to a minimum with the added benefit of easy connection.
In the basic version the linear guides have a travel range of 420mm for both the x and y axis using a 5mm pitch ball screw, and in order to reach very high load capacities each axis runs on four linear slides.
The individual axes can be driven by either servo or stepping motors.
In addition to this basic version it is possible to combine further linear guides from the range again by means of the ground connecting plates, this allows combinations of different travel ranges, pitches and drive motors to be assembled into a compound table.
Ball screw pitches of 2.5, 4, 10 and 20mm can be fitted and the face-milled aluminium T-slot plates are available in widths of 250 and 375mm, and in lengths of 592, 692, 792 and 1009mm.
The travel ranges can be from 290mm to 2.9m but as an option specials of any stroke length or top plate configuration can be provided.
All the LF5 compound tables come complete with the necessary fixings for quick operation.
