Low vibration, low noise machining or positioning units are available with feed ranges from 350 to 1350mm.

The anodised aluminium profiles used for the frameworks are special designed to allow high stiffness but very low weight.

The z-axis has a T-slot profile at 25mm pitch.

This allows the user to directly attach various products, making the beds very versatile pieces of equipment.

The Flatcom base units are supplied in five sizes, and they come with or without protective cover, and an addon control cabinet.

The clever space-saving slide doors are supplied as part of the protective covers.

All axes use ball screws that can be fitted with either servo or stepper motors offering a repeatability of +/-0.01mm.

Each axis is equipped with two limit switches.

The linear units maintain their accuracy by using precision ball bearings and preloaded ball-nuts.

The ball screw spindles are 5mm pitch as standard but there is the option of 2.5 or 10mm.

In addition, high grade milling and engraving spindles are available if required.

Other options include a tool changing station, tool levelling, cooling or spray units and a useful vacuum-clamping table These cost effective yet high quality base units are available in various custom made types and sizes but all are characterised by their smooth running and high throughput, this results in an extremely wide field of applications.

From the extensive combination of parts available for the base units, machines can be constructed for use in assembling, mounting, printing, engraving, drilling, milling, dosing, screwing, forming, modelling, laser and water jet cutting, soldering, welding, measuring, sawing and cutting, to name but a few.
