A Micromech product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Nov 3, 2009

Micromech has released the Parker SSD drives for fans and pumps, a range of three-phase industrial drives designed to help save energy in applications up to 110kW.

They are housed in IP54 electrical cabinets, together with associated control equipment, ready-to-install in the most demanding environments.

Compatible with most existing building-management systems, they are designed for easy replacement of soft starters, direct on-line or star/delta starters.

Additional benefits include improving the load power by a factor of more than 0.95, which also reduces electricity usage.

The Fastpack drives have ratings up to 110kW on 400V AC supply and have a power output of .75 to 110kW on centrifugal loads.

They can overload by 110 per cent for 10 seconds and have an output frequency of 0 - 240Hz.

The Fastpacks have two relay outputs, one for drive running, the other drive healthy.

The I/O interface is compatible with most existing building-management systems.

They are built into an IP54 enclosure that is door-mounted operated as standard, and a door-mounted isolator switch is optionally available.

The EMC filter conforms to EN61800-3 and the drive runs at an ambient temperature of 0-40; where the rating requires ventilation, cooling fans and filters are fitted.
