Intrinsically safe dewpoint transmitter
launched

Michell Instruments has introduced its latest Transmet IS intrinsically safe dewpoint transmitter as a key instrument for natural gas processors and transmission companies

Michell Instruments has introduced its latest Transmet IS intrinsically safe dewpoint transmitter as a key instrument to help natural gas processors and transmission companies improve the accuracy and frequency of quality measurements With full CENELEC, FM (Factory Mutual) and CSA approval, Transmet IS can be used to monitor the moisture content of natural gas in pipelines or at transfer or fiscal metering points, providing an extremely accurate real time output

Transmet IS combines both the sensor probe and electronics in a single IP65 enclosure provides and is capable of measuring dewpoint over the range -100deg to +20degC, with accuracy being to within ñ1degC dewpoint.

This measuring range is considerably wider than that available from competing instruments, with the added benefit that Transmet is smaller and easier to install and use than other dewpoint transmitters of comparable performance.

Transmet IS is essentially a "plug and play" device, with no need for in-situ test or set up procedures, providing a linear 4-20 mA output signal for transmission to a safe area display or plant control system.

Michell Instruments recommends that each Transmet dewpoint transmitter is calibrated annually.

Instruments should ideally be returned for calibration by Michell Instrument's UKAS laboratory, but can also be calibrated locally.

This can be carried automatically from a local PC or by using a simplified manual calibration procedure and Windows terminal software. Request a free brochure from Michell Instruments ...
