Micro Technic has launched a website that combines the company's full range of PC/104 boards with up-to-the-minute stock availability and quotation facilities together with secure online ordering
Micro Technic, a Danish company specialising in PC/104 products, RTU/Dataloggers and embedded control products, has launched an e-commerce website that combines the company's full range of PC/104 boards with up-to-the-minute stock availability and quotation facilities together with secure online ordering.
Visitors to the new site at www.pc104shop.com can browse through the company's online catalogue of PC/104 boards with online indication on stock availability, download datasheets and software drivers.
Most products can be despatched the same day and to some regions be supplied within 24 hours after ordering ! All users can benefit from the secure credit card transaction processing facility available on the website.
Ordering can also be done offline by sending the credit card information by fax if preferable.
The new e-commerce site provides all product datasheets in PDF-format for rapid downloading, as well as offering software tool-kits and drivers (Linux, Windows NT and 9x) for most of the boards - all available for every visitor to this new PC/104 online shop.
A 'News' section highlights the latest news and the significant announcements from Micro Technic.
Another section allows the user to get OEM and distributor pricing and information.
Visitors can also submit their email address to receive a monthly email newsletter with the latest news within the PC/104 market.
Discussing the launch of the new e-commerce site, Finn Max Laursen, Micro Technic's managing director, comments: "Many companies are talking about online ordering, stock querying, and immediate shipment but very few manufacturers have actually implemented these facilities.
As product documentation and sample availability are vital for design engineers to help them speed-up the development process, the new webshop will be helpful to many customers and users of PC/104 products.
The new site puts Micro Technic at the forefront of e-commerce within the electronics industry and the market for PC/104 products enabling customers to place orders online using the mostly used credit cards like Mastercard, Eurocard, and VISA".
"The site will play a key role in the company's strategy for future growth in Europe and on the US by simplifying the ordering process for PC/104 boards", he added.
All visitors to the site who register or order through the shop by the end of July 2001 will be entered into a free prize draw to win a Palm PDA.
