Side entry mixers explained in Antwerp
Technical presentation at StocExpo Europe will cover the fundamentals of side entry mixer applications, installation, operation and selection criteria.
As part of the Mixing Solutions display of mixing technologies suitable for oil applications at StocExpo Europe, the storage terminal operator's conference and exhibition at the Antwerp Expo Centre from 20th to 22nd March 2007, the company's International Sales Manager for Side Entry Mixers Rob O'Brien will deliver a technical presentation on the fundamentals of side entry mixer applications, installation, operation and selection criteria.
Particularly valuable will be an analysis of how Mixing Solutions is using computational fluid dynamics to assist in providing the optimum solution to mixing requirements in the hydrocarbon industry.
Side entry mixers achieve and maintain homogeneity of finished products and prevent the accumulation of bottom sludge and water deposits in crude oil tanks up to 100m diameter and 160,000m3 capacity.
Other main application benefits include heat transfer or temperature uniformity, blending and BS and W control.
O'Brien has a particular expertise in the field, with over 25 years' experience of side entry mixers in the oil industry.
He will illustrate his presentation with a case study of CFD in action.
