International Motion Control has acquired the Alcon Division of Concentric Controls.

International Motion Control has acquired the Alcon Division of Concentric Controls.

The solenoid valve products, to be sold within the Automation Group of IMC, provide innovative flow control technology chosen by leading companies throughout the world, including many applications operating in some of the most hostile environments.

Alcon's wide range of standard and custom-designed valves provide solutions for varied applications in the fields of petrochemical, industrial gas, offshore, steel and power generation.

With over 50 years of experience of valve design and manufacture, Alcon offers a single source of supply to meet all of its customers flow control needs.

Purchase of Alcon marks the first in a series of divisions purchased from Concentric Controls, expanding the Automation Group's commitment to product diversification within the motion control industry.

Of this most recent product acquisition, IMC Automation Group President, Christopher J Lee, notes: "The acquisition of Alcon products was a natural compliment to the Automation Group's continuing focus of adding companies or product lines that provide custom engineered solutions to the marketplace".

"Using IMC's global distribution resources will allow Alcon to reach customers and markets that were previously unobtainable".
