Elmo's Tweeter is an ultralightweight intelligent digital servo drive for DC brush and brushless motors, linear motors and voice coils.

Available now from Motion Control Products, Elmo's Tweeter is an ultralightweight intelligent digital servo drive for DC brush and brushless motors, linear motors and voice coils.

Weighing only 27g, the Tweeter offers voltage and current levels of 3.3A (6.6A peak) up to 59V and 2.5V (5A peak) up to 95V for continuous operation.

This 50.8 x 12.4 x 41.9mm servo drives delivers a peak power of 360W and 180W continuous.

With Elmo's FASST highly efficient technology, there is no need for any additional external cooling up to 40C ambient.

By harnessing Elmo's state-of-the-art SimplIQ technology in a compact package, the Tweeter delivers a powerful, cost effective solution empowering OEMs to respond to a broad range of applications.

The drive is small and light enough to be soldered directly on the application's PCB.

The Tweeter is rugged enough to be mounted to the motor housing or in close proximity to the motor which significantly saves space, cabling, labour and cost.

It also incorporates the full control capabilities of the SimplIQ family of drives that offers a wide range of feedback options, programming capabilities, communications protocols, and superior controlled motion technology.
