Accelerometer handles harsh duties

A Measurement Specialties product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Aug 21, 2008

Hermetically sealed accelerometer comes in a rugged stainless-steel package and has a gas damped sensing element for optimum frequency response.

Available now from Measurement Specialties, the Model 4801A is a true hermetically sealed accelerometer in a rugged stainless-steel package designed for stud mounting.

The accelerometer offers an amplified signal conditioned output in ranges from +/-2 to +/-500g and incorporates a proprietary ASIC that provides exceptional temperature compensation from -55 to +125C.

The MEMS sensing element is gas dampened for optimum frequency response and includes mechanical overrange stop that offer shock protection up to 10,000g.

Ideal for harsh measurement applications, the model 4801A accelerometer is designed to be used by the test engineer that prefers a detachable cable assembly.
