Accelerometer takes signal conditioning onboard

A Measurement Specialties product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Aug 28, 2008

MEMS device is packaged in a rugged aluminium housing that makes it ideal for transportation and instrumentation testing.

The new Model 4000A accelerometer from Measurement Specialties is an economical signal-conditioned accelerometer with integral temperature compensation.

The accelerometer incorporates a third-generation silicon MEMS sensor providing outstanding performance.

The accelerometer is packaged in a rugged aluminium housing ideal for transportation and instrumentation testing.

Options are offered for dynamic ranges from +/-2 to +/-200g.

Operating from an 8 to 32V DC power supply, the Model 4000A draws a minimal of 5mA of current, and operates over a -20 to +85C temperature range.

The underlying MEMS technology and innovative design of the Model 4000A stems from Measurement Specialties' research and vibration design facilities in Fremont and Aliso Viejo, California.
