MK Profile Systems has further developed its novel foamed profile range to include new profile formats and facilities for routing wiring and pneumatic lines.

Unique to MK, the foamed profile principle allows the manufacture of very large section aluminium beams to be made at low cost by bonding standard extrusions together with hard foam.

Using this method, special large profile section beams can be made in small quantities, thus avoiding the need for expensive new tooling and large quantity batch production.

Special lengths can be made from as little as only a metre, to a one-piece profile of up to ten metres.

Common uses are for heavy-duty beams on multi-axis CNC cutting, routing and laser profiling machinery, as well as heavy duty pick and place machines.

The inherent low self-weight and strength of the slotted aluminium extrusion assists machine builders in achieving higher loadings and higher speeds of beam travel.

The multitude of accessories available from MK also reduces the need for expensive special parts and machining of the beam prior to fitting slides and linear motion equipment.
