MK Profile Systems has added new adapter plates to its novel MK Ball Base flexible joint, giving even more options to mount equipment in flexible positions.

Traditionally, one of the limitations of aluminium extrusion based machine frame building systems is at the point where conveyors, sensors, cameras or other machine equipment needs to be mounted on a compound angle.

The MK Ball Base uses a cast base assembly, compatible with the profile system slots and a high precision ball with an adaptor plate to connect to the ancillary equipment.

The MK Ball Base, once tightened, exerts a high pressure clamping force on the ball, allowing a compound angle to be achieved but with a solidity that is unequalled by similar standard attachments supplied by many camera and sensor manufacturers in particular.

There are now five different standard adapter plates available and special plates can be made on request.
