A new "Linear motion technology" catalogue showcases recent developments made by MK in low-cost linear motion modules and components, compatible with the MK profile, factory equipment and conveying systems.

The linear motion range spans both low- and high-tech applications, from simple vertical handwheel adjustment modules right up to heavy duty reciprocating ball slides for the heavy duty 60 series profile.

Low-cost clamp profiles are illustrated which use the framework structure as a basis for using steel rods ands rollers to create reliable low-cost linear motion solutions using timing belts and in heavy applications, chain drives.

Rods are clamped both externally and internally, to protect from dirt ingress.

There are now several linear systems available for each MK profile series.

New to the catalogue is the MK Glide System 2000, a simple linear guide using low friction glide bushings mounted into a standard profile which guide either round or square steel rods through the centre of the assembly.

This can be used as a low cost guide for a simple pneumatic cylinder to give parallel motion to lifts, pushers and stoppers etc, as well as low cost pick and place applications.
