New combination kits allow type VST2011 and VST2015 handwheel-drive linear modules to be combined to provide simple, robust and accurate x-y linear positioning.

MK Profile Systems has introduced new combination kits that allow type VST2011 and VST2015 handwheel-drive linear modules to be combined to provide simple, robust and accurate x-y linear positioning The popular VST2015 (based on a 50 x 50mm profile) and VST2011 (100 x 100mm) linear module systems offer users the option of low cost linear adjustment using a simple handwheel

Many similar systems concentrate on high precision costly components and sliding mechanisms, which although precise, are often too expensive and precision made for simple applications.

The MK linear module system works on the basis of using standard MK aluminium extrusions and adding the linear elements to create a low cost linear motion module, which is strong, smooth and economical.

When in position, there are two locking screws on the carriage to secure the modules in their positions.

The assembly is then very rigid and can be used in many applications such as cutting, labelling, marking and positioning.

The new combination kits allow the user to combine a module in the x direction with another in the y direction to create a situation where the user can have adjustment in both directions by turning the handles.

The components involved are low in cost and easy to use.
