Megatech has a new range of low-cost high-performance noncontact infra-red sensors.

The range consists of three models of which the MI-N200 is an accurate two-wire compact self contained temperature sensor with high resolution optics and 4-20mA linear output.

Designed to operate in ambient temperatures of up to 70C, the MI-N200 is ideal for temperature measurements of paper, ceramics, painted or dull oxidised metal surfaces, powders, thick plastics, rubber, textiles, vinyl or liquids etc.

The other two models in the series are the MI-S200 and MI-GA200 that are designed to measure temperatures from 300 to 2500C.

These units feature a response time of 20ms, adjustable to 10s, with the medium-/high-temperature models featuring an LED targeting light.

All units in this range are fully programmable using the handheld programming module.

Enclosed in stainless steel and CE approved, the construction of these units helps ensure reliability and accuracy in tough industrial environments.

They have many applications in the processing, engineering and manufacturing industries.
