Available now from Megatech, the PTI-18 is a low-cost lightweight portable thermal imaging camera for preventive, predictive maintenance, machine diagnostics and detecting abnormalities in a variety of manufacturing applications.

This innovative handheld unit easily adapts to different applications without the need to buy expensive specialised units.

The camera records visually the corresponding image by using the laser pointer which enables easy association with the thermal image and the physical target.

Powerful analysis tools and report generation software are provided, and a removal SD card permits up to 2Gbyte of memory storage.

Bluetooth technology allows wireless voice recording and high speed FireWire enables real-time image analysis.

Featuring a 160 x 120 UFPA detector it provides real-time imaging at 60 frames a second.

The PTI has a temperature measurement range of -20 to +250C with an accuracy of +/-2C or +/-2%.

This product incorporates the latest state of the art microbolometer detector for accurate temperature measurement and repeatability.

It is small, rugged and easy to use and weighs 500g, and is powered by lithium batteries which can give it up to 3h operation.

This versatile unit has applications in the electronics, manufacturing, processing, engineering, laboratory, building, research and medical industries.
