McLaren is to supply Dominion Energy with document and drawing management software to support 3000 end users at three nuclear power stations and its corporate headquarters in Richmond, Virginia Once deployed, McLaren's software will facilitate Dominion's ability to maintain document management functions across its nuclear fleet, while dramatically reducing the customised software that will need to be developed

It will also allow Dominion to engage end users more actively by allowing greater control of workflow and functional localisation at the departmental level.

Under the contract, McLaren will supply Dominion with 3000 seats of its configurable software for document and drawing management, and additional licenses of its software for concurrent engineering, bulk loading and rendering of documents.

McLaren will also oversee the migration of data to the new Documentum 5 platform.

Tim Taylor, Chief Business Development Officer with McLaren said: "For any nuclear business to remain an industry leader it must be able to function effectively in line with industry regulations and continuously improve the flows of information across the organisation.

The McLaren software will provide a fleet-wide document management solution for engineering applications, integrated with other key business processes to improve the efficiency of Dominion's operations".
