Mechanical calculation package expanded

A Mitcalc product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Oct 14, 2004

Mitcalc has released the new modules for its mechanical calculations package.

Mitcalc has released the new modules for its mechanical calculations package.

Two new programs are available for the analysis of linear, 2D and 3D dimensional chains, which in addition to the basic analysis (worst case, root sum squares, Monte Carlo etc) also include a solution to some specific matters, like analysis of a dimensional chain deformed as a result of temperature change and design of tolerances for a selective assembly.

Calculations contain a number of examples.

The workbook contains solutions to many dozens of basic formulas from physics, technology and mechanical engineering (characteristics of solids, rectilinear and rotation motion, thermal expansion, friction.).

Help topics, illustrations and many selection tables with values of various coefficients and material properties are available for the formulas.
