MDandC will provide complete sales and support for Boschert + Co's range of safety chucks and sliding chucks in the UK.
Motion Drives and Controls has been appointed as a main UK distributor for Boschert + Co, safety chuck and sliding chuck manufacturers.
MDandC will provide complete sales and support for the German producers range.
The range covers the economically priced Boschert C series safety chucks available in pillow block or flange mounting for low-speed applications with beam loads of up to 64,000kg and torque of 41000Nm.
Featuring a chromed handwheel, rubber finger guard and a hardened pocket this traditional solution has been in production since 1948 and is still as sought the industry standard safety chuck for high-quality web processing.
For high-speed, high-torque applications the Boschert VT series of safety chucks is available in a wide choice of options with a selection of inserts to suit square or round shafts.
Designed for fast and straightforward winding shaft load/unload from 22mm to 120mm, the VT range provides perfect concentricity for torque transmission up to 10,000Nm, speeds to 3000rev/min and beam loading to 12,000kg.
For applications where the web needs to be aligned axially before or during operation, Boschert Sidelay Chucks provide up to +/- 50mm of adjustment.
Suited to beam loads up to 2800kg the range is similar to the VT series with a selection of inserts for round or square mountings from 2 to 50mm and torque transmission to 1100Nm.
Boschert also manufactures a range of pneumatically actuated safety chucks for completely automatic load/unload including the "A" series, which includes built-in axial and radial alignment.
Complete with integrated safety sensors and protection, the standard range is available for beam loads up to 7000kg and torque to 2350Nm.
