Sturge cable and hose reels are now available from Metool Products, the UK's largest manufacturer of flexible cable handling systems.
Sturge reels are suitable for a wide range of critical electrical and power applications, including inflammable and other dangerous environments.
Typical applications include electrical hoists, overhead cranes and mobile control systems, inspection lighting, portable power tools and refrigerated vehicles.
Sturge reels are also used in fire and ambulance stations, in charging electrical vehicles.
Sturge cable reels are specified for low-current/standard cable requirements in nonhazardous environments and where space is limited or the payout length is shorter.
There are four different sizes, all of the closed type, handling up to 14m of cable.
Low-maintenance and durable, the design eliminates electrical interference and is suitable for hazardous environments.
